There’s just something about a fire that pulls people together. Maybe it’s the way it crackles. Or how your shoulders drop the second you settle into an Adirondack chair with a blanket and a warm drink. Whatever it is, the fire pit at the Lilac Lakehouse is made for those end-of-day, wind-down kind of moments—where the sky turns purple and everyone leans in a little closer.
It’s simple. It’s cozy. And it’s one of our favourite places to be when the sun goes down.
The fire pit is located in the yard, with clear views of the sky and safe open space all around. It’s surrounded by comfy seating and is built to keep the fire contained, easy to manage, and—most importantly—enjoyable for everyone.
We supply pre-bagged wood bundles for purchase, usually stacked near the side of the house or outdoor shop. If you don’t see them, just message us—we’re happy to restock or guide you to where they’re stored.
👉 Please don’t use the wood from the pizza oven pile—that’s a different size and type!
We’re all about the vibe, but we also love a safe stay. So here are a few important things to know before lighting your cozy backyard blaze:
Never leave the fire unattended—even for a minute
Always keep water nearby (there’s a hose on the side of the house)
Don’t burn anything other than the provided firewood
Keep chairs and fabrics a safe distance from the flames
Windy day? Skip it—fire bans or high winds make it too risky
Put out your fire completely before heading inside—douse it with water and stir until no embers remain
If you’ve got kids with you, please keep a close eye—they tend to be fascinated by flames (understandably).
When you’re done roasting marshmallows and telling stories, please give the fire pit a little love before calling it a night:
Let the fire burn down until only embers remain
Use the water hose or bucket to fully extinguish the coals
Please don’t dump hot ashes in any bin—let them cool down fully overnight
If it’s safe and cool, you can gently scoop ashes into the metal ash bucket provided nearby
Leaving the space neat and ready for the next guest helps keep the magic going.
Fires are part of the Lilac Lakehouse rhythm—slow evenings, deep conversations, a few toasted marshmallows, maybe even a singalong. Whether it’s a big group or just you and the stars, the fire pit is here to warm your toes and your heart.
So grab a blanket, pour something warm or sparkly, and let the night unfold one flicker at a time.
