Check-Out at the Lilac Lakehouse: Wrapping Up with Ease
We know—no one wants to leave the Lilac Lakehouse. But when it’s time to say goodbye, we want your check-out to feel as effortless and clear as your arrival. You came to relax, and we want to keep that going right up to the moment you drive away.
Here’s everything you need to know before you head out.
Check-Out Time
Check-out is any time before 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
This gives our cleaning team time to prepare the house for the next lucky guests. If you need a bit of flexibility, just ask—we’ll always do our best to accommodate where possible, especially during quieter seasons.
Quick & Easy Check-Out Steps
We don’t expect a full deep clean—that’s our job. But a few quick tidies go a long way:
Please take out your garbage, recycling, and green bin items and place them in the outdoor bins.
Leave used beds unmade—no need to strip them.
Tidy up the kitchen (rinsed dishes into the dishwasher is perfect).
Check the fridge for any leftover items and toss or pack them.
Put used towels in the bathroom hampers—especially lake towels from the lower lounge bathroom.
Return paddle boards or lawn gear to their proper places.
Check for chargers, clothes, or personal items in drawers, under beds, and in the laundry area.
Turn off all lights and make sure all windows are closed.
That’s it. Nothing complicated. Just a few kind things to help keep the Lakehouse cozy and welcoming for the next guests.
Locking Up
When you’re ready to leave:
Please make sure all doors are locked (use the smart lock at the front and any side entries).
Double-check that the Google Hub is off and that lights are off, especially the color-changing ones downstairs.
If anything came up during your stay—an item broke, a light flickered, or something felt off—please let us know. No judgment at all! We just want to keep the house running smoothly and safely for everyone.
Once locked up, you’re good to go. Your smart lock code will deactivate automatically shortly after your scheduled check-out time.
